The Truth About Jay O'berski

AKA: Jaybird O’berski & Jack O’berski

What cha doin’ Jack… O’berski

Monica recently posted an update to her website with some news about Jack O’berski.

It appears that Jay, now Jack O’berski, is working as a private therapist in Winston Salem. Jack O’berski is serving clients at Bird by Bird Therapy in Winston Salem. There are also some social media accounts on Flickr, YouTube, Etc where Jay has change his name to Jack, but the usernames are still Jay or Jaybird.

While I believe Jack / Jay / Jaybird has a right to live his life and earn a living, I also think it’s important that anyone choosing to work with him is aware of the past actions for which he, Jack O’berski, has still never taken responsibility for or been completely honest about. So if you are considering working with Jack O’berski at Bird by Bird Therapy, please read this blog and make sure you feel comfortable engaging so that you do not open yourself to unnecessary risk.

I’m posting Monica’s update below for visibility.

UPDATE, February 15, 2025: It’s come to my attention that Jay is going by the name “Jack O’Berski.” He is also currently or was recently employed by Old Vineyard Behavioral Services in Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and is currently or has recently advertised for private clients under “Bird by Bird Therapy.”

OCT 10 2025 Google review mentions JO working as a social worker at the Old Vineyard Behavioral Health:

Horrible experience from the time we walked in the door. My son had an appointment at 3pm to see Tiffany. We waiting until 6:30pm and I approached the desk to ask how much longer we needed to wait to be seen considering we had an appointment. A man named Deon stepped out and explained that we needed to go to DayMark urgent care for assistance that Old Vineyard couldn’t assist (even though we had been pre-screened on the phone). We left and went to DayMark where my son spent the night in “observation”. DayMark sent my son back to Old Vineyard the following morning for admittance. It seems that Old Vineyard didn’t want to deal with him the day before after making us wait for 3.5 hours. That should have been the first warning sign. My son was assigned a social worker/discharge planner named Jack (Jaybird O’berski) who did NOTHING to assist in finding my son treatment after his stay at Old Vineyard. He kept telling me that he had 17-19 other patients he had to manage and didn’t have time to help. He told my son to find his own placement which is next to impossible when he is an inpatient at a treatment facility without access to a phone or his insurance information. During my conversations with Jack, I was lied to as he told me he had contacted the facility we wanted my son to be placed at, however when I called the facility they stated that they had never been contacted by Jack at Old Vineyard about my son. My thoughts are if Tiffany, Deon and Jack do not want to provide compassionate care in a behavioral health environment then they should seriously consider a different line of work.
